We plan. You celebrate.
Getting Married in a Different Country
But the ones who do usually understand something I love - that a wedding can be more than one day, more than one room, and more than the expected version of what everyone else has already done.
Those are my couples.

How This Works
You start with a few saved images. Then suddenly you are comparing hundreds of resorts, vague wedding packages, conflicting reviews, and room block terms that were clearly not written for normal people.
Here’s the thing - a destination wedding is not just a resort booking with a ceremony attached.
The right property has to work for your wedding, your budget, your guests, your flights, your room block, and the way the resort actually functions once everyone arrives.
I help you choose the right fit, secure the contract, build the wedding travel website, manage guest travel, and keep the process moving stateside so you are not trying to run a wedding week from your inbox.
Behind the Planning
The second you say “destination wedding,” everyone around you instantly becomes a wedding planner. Am I right?
Aunt Patricia has a favorite resort - and it is the only one she has ever been to. Your best friend from sophomore year knows a guy who got married in Cancun 10 years ago. Facebook groups are a literal hellscape. I can say that. I’m in them.
Your wedding should not be planned around someone else’s one good vacation.
That’s where I come in.
A closer look at the experience, taste, and judgment behind Aisle + Away.
Weddings By The Number
Your wedding or vow renewal can be planned around the people you love - or around the rare chance to make the whole trip about just the two of you. Neither version is better. They just need different kinds of planning.
For the wedding weekend with parents, friends, cousins, chosen family, and a guest list that turns one day into a full group trip.
For couple who wants this to be all about them - in a good way. No seating chart. No room block. No one asking if they can bring their boyfriend of three months.
The Destinations
I do not recommend every island with a pretty beach. I recommend the places where the resorts, flights, wedding teams, and guest experience can actually hold up.
Mexico
Cancun + Riviera Maya
Easy flights, strong resort variety, and one of the easiest regions for guests to navigate.
Mexico
Los Cabos
Desert, ocean, sharper design, and a completely different feel from the Caribbean side of Mexico.
Dominican Republic
Punta Cana
Wide beaches, strong all-inclusive value, and a lot of resorts built to handle groups.
Mexico
Puerto Vallarta
Pacific sunsets, more local texture, and a wedding weekend that feels less expected.
Costa Rica
Costa Rica
Rainforest, coastline, adventure, and a better fit for couples who do not want a standard resort wedding.
Caribbean
Jamaica
Resorts with more personality than polish - which, for the right couple, is exactly the point.
In Their Words
We had no clue what direction to go in. We just knew we needed an expert. That is exactly what Dana is. Knowledgeable, responsive, personable, and professional.
After our consultation, she recommended the perfect resort that matched our vision. She handled everything, from rescheduling reservations during COVID to every refund and travel detail, with grace and a positive attitude.
We couldn't have done it without her.

Common Questions
Start here before you choose a destination, fall for a resort, or send a booking link to your guests.
View Full FAQNo. Most couples come to me before they have chosen the destination. That is the best time to start, because we can compare locations, guest travel, resort style, and wedding logistics before you are locked into a decision.
A destination wedding usually includes guests, a room block, travel coordination, and a full wedding weekend. A destination elopement or private vow renewal is built around the two of you, which changes the resort search, the logistics, and the kind of experience we are designing.

Yes. For weddings with guests, Aisle + Away handles the travel side - room block details, booking questions, payment deadlines, travel preparation, and guest support before departure. You should not be the person explaining passport rules in your group chat.

Most of my destination wedding work is with all-inclusive resorts because they usually make the most sense for guests, group travel, and wedding-week logistics. There are exceptions in places like Costa Rica and Fiji when the property can actually support the kind of celebration you want.
Yes. Start with the Aisle + Guide. It is the planning resource I wish every couple had before they started comparing resorts.
The Aisle + Guide Preview
The full Aisle + Guide is the planning roadmap I give my couples - the one that walks through the process from the first decisions to after the wedding.
This preview gives you the starting pieces: when to begin, what to think through first, and why the resort should not be the first decision you make.
Enough to help you start smarter. Not the whole playbook.
Selective Destination Wedding Planning
A destination wedding has a lot of moving pieces - the place, the people, the timing, the travel, the fine print, and all the decisions that start to stack up fast.
If you want someone you trust watching over the details before anything gets booked, signed, or announced, this is where we start.
Whether you want to explore destinations or grab the Aisle + Guide Preview, there are resources for every stage.
See where your wedding could happen. Real resorts. Real knowledge. No hype.

Dominican Republic
One minute you're on a beautiful blue beach. The next you feel like you're inside a Roman stadium.
This is where I send couples who want a European wedding without flying across the Atlantic. And you can tell from the smile on my face, I'm never mad to be here.
A note about this couple
UNICO 20°87° ▪ Riviera Maya
Rave kids through and through. Nicole and Danny didn't stop at bringing their own DJ to their destination wedding. They had to bring their party pup, Nero, along too.
Being a dog mom myself, I totally got it.
Hard hats and good taste
Secrets Tulum ▪ Riviera Maya
Chelsea and Wes were one of the very first weddings ever held at Secrets Tulum. We secured this property so early, I had to visit it while it was still being built. Hard hat and all.
I'm so glad they trusted my good taste and instinct. This is one venue not to pass up, and well worth the bit of stress of waiting for it to open.
