Decisions + Setup
Destination ideas, resort direction, date conversations, ceremony needs, event spaces, and the early decisions that shape the rest of the planning experience.
The Aisle + Guide
Written by Dana Braun, The Aisle + Guide was created to help couples understand what actually happens between “we want a destination wedding” and “we made it to paradise.”
It gives you a clearer path through the decisions, deadlines, guest questions, room blocks, wedding logistics, and travel details that come with planning a wedding away from home.
Why I Created It
The Aisle + Guide started as a digital resource I sent to my couples after they officially became Aisle + Away clients. It gave them one place to understand the process, revisit important reminders, and feel less overwhelmed by what comes next.
Over the years, it has evolved into a larger planning companion, and it will keep evolving as resort policies, travel practices, guest needs, and destination wedding planning continue to change.
Today, Aisle + Away couples receive the digital guide along with dashboard resources, planning extras, reminders, and support through email and their client dashboard.
Inside the Aisle + Away experience
Think of it as the planning companion that helps you understand the process while we help manage the details behind the scenes.
What’s Inside
The full guide walks Aisle + Away couples through the destination wedding planning journey step by step. The preview gives you a peek at the kind of support, structure, and education we bring to the process.
Destination ideas, resort direction, date conversations, ceremony needs, event spaces, and the early decisions that shape the rest of the planning experience.
A practical look at how room blocks work, how guest estimates are made, what contract terms matter, and why booking correctly protects your group benefits.
Wedding websites, reservation flow, guest deposits, payment deadlines, airfare reminders, pre-travel emails, and the tools that help guests feel informed.
What happens once resort planning begins, how to communicate with the on-site team, what can wait, and where extra guidance may be helpful.
Guest reminders, travel documents, arrival details, transportation coordination, last-minute questions, and the final steps before everyone heads out.
What happens after the wedding, including earned room night credits, thank-you notes, resort shout-outs, anniversary travel, and staying connected.

More Than a Guide
The Aisle + Guide helps you understand the process, but our couples are not left to figure everything out from a PDF. The guide works alongside the planning tools, conversations, reminders, and support we provide throughout the experience.
Once you become an Aisle + Away couple, your guide becomes part of a bigger planning system designed to keep you informed, organized, and supported from the first decisions through travel.
A central home for planning resources, important links, documents, reminders, next steps, and details as your wedding comes together.
A custom guest-facing site where guests can find travel details, booking instructions, deadlines, room options, and the information they need without relying on you.
Scheduled conversations to talk through big decisions, next steps, questions, and anything that needs a human conversation instead of another email.
Helpful reminders, planning notes, updates, and additional resources sent along the way as your wedding gets closer.

Meet Dana
Destination wedding planning is personal. You are trusting someone with your wedding, your guests, your travel experience, and the details that can make the whole celebration feel calm or chaotic.
I created The Aisle + Guide because I never want my couples to feel like they are guessing their way through the process. I believe in clear communication, honest guidance, and helping you understand what is happening before you have to make big decisions.
The guide gives you a preview of how I think, how I plan, and how I help couples move from overwhelmed to organized.
